I think this video series is a fitting post for Memorial Day. In it, David Barton, evangelical minister and expert on US history, shares his thoughts on the men who started our country. David Barton clears up the perception that our country's forefathers were all deists or atheists. On the contrary, most of the men who signed the Declaration of Independence (audio) had a strong background in Christianity, and many were even ministers themselves. If this surprises you, David Barton helps to explain why you might be so surprised, given the agenda of secular America to bury these facts. I think it's important, especially during this holiday, to show respect for the people, both past and present, who gave their lives for our country.

I hope these videos shed some light on our country's beginnings. We were indeed, a Christian nation from the start, and can be again. Anything is possible, with God.
