Jesus Forgave Us, Can't We Do The Same?

In this blog, there isn't really much on forgiveness. That's a thought I had about three weeks ago. Then things came together one day when I was watching Daystar, a Christian network, and the message was on none other than forgiveness, preached by Marcus Lamb. He shared a story about Corrie Ten Boom. He talked about how she went through the atrocities of the concentration camps. Long story short, when she met one of her Nazi captors years later, she had a decision of forgiveness and God helped helped her make that decision. I'm sure that's the only way she would have been able to do it. I don't konw if any of you have gone through any horrible circumstances but I know for certainty Jesus will give you the strength to forgive. There's nothing that will destroy you quicker than hatred and unforgiveness. Marcus said that forgiveness is a decision not an emotion. Yeah, but sometimes there are situations so bad that there is a grieving process and it takes time for that person to forgive.

So that's enough of me talking. Here's an audio of Corrie Ten Boom sharing her testimony. The clip is about an hour long but it's definitely worth your time to listen to the whole thing. It starts off slow but eventually gets to the part about forgiveness. And after that, I have a song.

Here's a fitting song about forgiveness by a Christian group named Disciple. Be sure and press the play button to listen.
